NEW STUDENTS

For New Student Registration 

1. Prior to beginning the online registration process, gather the following documents and upload them. 

• Proof of Residence - utility bill (electricity, water, or gas), purchase paperwork, or lease agreement - If a lease agreement or purchase paperwork is provided at the time of registration, a utility bill must be provided within 30 days of occupancy.
• Official Birth Certificate
• Government-issued Identification Card of the person registering the student
• Proof of Immunizations - Legible in English IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
• Report Card or Transcript from the most recently attended school
• Any additional documents defined if applicable

2. Please upload ALL the documents before submitting them.  Once you submit, you cannot return to the application and this will delay your enrollment. 

You may be contacted for additional documents needed to complete your student’s registration. The campus Registrar will contact you at a later date if needed.

You must qualify for Pre‐Kindergarten.  Please visit our Pre-Kindergarten site for guidelines and information.

 NEW and RETURNING student information

• Parents will use the Home Access Center (HAC) to view their child's homeroom teachers at the beginning of every school year.
• Elementary parents who have a returning student will use the same HAC login credentials
• A unique SnapCode for each returning student will be sent out to the parent/guardian's email address on file at the beginning of every school year. The SnapCode will allow each parent/guardian to electronically complete the Annual Information Update in PowerSchool. The Annual Information Update is how parents/guardians update contact information, home address, emergency contacts, medical information, etc. Please make sure to complete your Annual Information Update!

PRE-K REGISTRATION

Katy ISD offers a prekindergarten program for eligible students who turn 4 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year in which they intend to enroll.  The District uses PowerSchool, an online registration process, for new student registration.

Student Withdrawals

Please notify the campus registrar at least 24 hours prior to the student’s last day. The parent/guardian will need to show ID and complete and sign the withdrawal papers and Leaver Form. Textbooks, library books, and any outstanding fees must be returned/cleared before the student is withdrawn. 

Moving

If there is a change of address. Please provide a current utility (gas, light, or water) dated within 30 days showing the service address, name of bill holder, and a copy of the bill holder's driver’s license. If the bill is not in the parent/guardian's name, the Affidavit of Bona Fide Residency Forms are required along with a utility bill and driver’s license.
